SIR REG

visit SIR REG on facebook visit SIR REG’s website SIR REG is an energetic seven piece from Sweden fronted by Irishman Brendan Sheehy on vocals, who left his home-town of Dublin to come to Sweden to fulfill his dream – to put together the most amazing band possible. With songs about everything from the issues of modern day society to finding the right bar on a night out, combined with strong melodies and explosive live shows, SIR REG have made a name for themselves in the Celtic punk and rock scene. Since the birth of the band in 2009 they have released five critically acclaimed albums and have performed on many of Europe’s biggest stages alongside bands like The Misfits, The Mahones, Thin Lizzy and The Real McKenzies. The new album Kings of Sweet Feck All (2022) continues the story of the tales and struggles of the ordinary men and women – fighting to make their voices heard and opinions count, while not losing their spirit and ability to enjoy the simpler things in life, like hanging out with friends at their favourite bar on a Saturday night. AMENRA

visit AMENRA on facebook visit AMENRA’s website A Belgian extreme metal band that’s as experimental and atmosphere-driven as it is impossibly heavy, Amenra emerged in the early 2000s with a versatile sound rooted in doom, sludge, post-metal, and hardcore punk. Debuting in 2003 with Mass I, the group continued to push at the boundaries of extreme metal with acclaimed efforts like Mass V (2012) and De Doorn (2021). Amenra was formed in 1999 by vocalist Colin H. van Eeckhout and guitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove. Employing a lethal and often heady blend of doom, post-, and avant-garde metal, the duo eventually expanded into a five-piece with the addition of drummer Bjorn Lebon, guitarist Lennart Bossu, and bassist Levy Seynaeve. Based out of the West Flanders city of Kortrijk, the group issued their debut album, Mass I, in 2003 — each Amenra full-length outing is thought of as a mass and is titled as such. Two years later, they released Mass II and Mass III, and established the Church of Ra, a D.I.Y. collective of like-minded artists and friends with whom they would collaborate on various artistic endeavors and performances. Mass IV arrived in 2008, followed in 2012 by Mass V, and in 2017 by Mass VI, the latter two of which were issued on Neurot Recordings. Stepping away from the decades-long Mass journey, the band inked a deal with Relapse Records and released the transcendent De Doorn in 2021, which included guest vocals from Caro Tanghe of Oathbreaker. MEPHISKAPHELES

visit MEPHISKAPHELES on facebook visit MEPHISKAPHELES’s website Formed in the East Village of New York City in 1991 by a group of punk rockers/artists/ad guys/jazz musicians, Mephiskapheles played its first show on Long Island. From day one, the band began attracting a diverse, dedicated fan base. Sold-out NYC gigs led to tours with the Buzzcocks and GWAR, and hits on the Hawaiian Islands Chart with three singles from the band’s first album, 1994’s God Bless Satan, produced by Bill Laswell. While touring relentlessly, Mephiskapheles followed-up in 1997 with Maximum Perversion, a jazz-influenced work that didn’t take long to be hailed as a classic. A deal in 1999 with Koch Records resulted in the band’s hard-hitting, exploratory third album, Might-Ay White-Ay. The band released the self-titled EP Mephiskapheles in 2015, featuring the single „Satan Stole My Weed,“ an instant classic. The Never Born Again EP, released in 2019, brings the band back full circle to its dark and melodic roots. SOFT KILL

visit SOFT KILL on facebook visit SOFT KILL’s bandcamp website One of the bands defining the sound of 2010s post-punk, Portland’s Soft Kill began as standard-bearers before taking their music to anthemic heights. Grounded by the cavernous vocals and cathartic lyrics of Tobias Sinclair, over the years the band moved from the raw intimacy of 2011’s An Open Door, which updated the sounds of post-punk legends like the Chameleons, The Sound, and Joy Divison, to 2018’s Savior, which set songs about real-life hardships to widescreen sounds inspired by U2, Tom Petty and The Replacements. WUCAN

visit WUCAN on facebook visit WUCAN’s website Putting music with a driving force and lots of personality on the map and while doing so, taking inspiration from all sorts of genres, Wucan can easily be interpreted as a Hard Rock, Acid Folk, Psychedelic Rock or Blues band that bundles these different influences in an electrifying way under the term HEAVY FLUTE ROCK. Psychedelic riffs, progressive song structures and, not least through Tobolsky’s flute play, reoccuring elements of folk, enchanted critics and fans alike, resulting in the strictly limited edition vinyl EP “Vikarma” to be sold out in no time. Promptly Wucan found themselves on festivals such as the infamous Hammer of Doom and in the role of a live support band for Swedish blues rockers Siena Root in 2015, strengthening their reputation as an explosive and passionate live band. With the release of their debut full-length album “Sow The Wind”in late 2015, Wucan trespassed the verge from being an insider’s tip to becoming a celebrated newcomer. “Sow The Wind” is an energetic heavy rock statement, which, despite all directness, does not consider itself above wonderous krautrock-esque extravaganza. The 16-minutes masterpiece “Wandersmann” takes the listener on a journey through the band’s complete musical and emotional spectrum, celebrating the influences of funk, hard rock, folk and kraut rock, while taking a deep-dive into hindu philosophy by quoting the Bhagavad Gita- all in German… who does that these days? The force of nature that Wucan present on stage is supposed to reflect in their second album, for whose recordings the band locked themselves up in the Big Snuff Studios Berlin (recorded and mixed artists like Kadavar, Heat, Blues Pills, Samsara Blues Experiment). Even stronger than the previous album it honours what Wucan promis in their live performance: a strikingly massive rock sound, clear and naturally organic at the same time. Familiar progressive structures and Wucan’s typical flute-driven hmyns now meet compact heavy metal pieces such as “Out of Sight, Out of Mind”, which reflects the band’s endeavour to combine different influences to one great, unique force of Rock and Roll. The band is ready to reap the whirlwind they have sown, and spread it over those, whose hearts beat for honest and original music.
