TAKE OFFENSE

visit TAKE OFFENSE on facebook visit TAKE OFFENSE’s website Weathering countless trends and defying all odds, over the past decade Take Offense has established themselves as one of the West Coast’s most prominent hardcore acts. Sonically, Take Offense hits hard, with a sound steeped in late 80’s NYHC tradition, coupled with the distinctively Venice crossover stylings of Suicidal Tendencies and the like. Take Offense manages to both whet the palate of the stodgy old guard, while satisfying the youths’ insatiable lust for hard hitting, mosh riffage. Established in 2005, Take Offense have never been ones to rest on their laurels, and after a handful of EPs, 2011’s landmark full length Tables Will Turn, and a hell of a lot of time on the road with stalwarts such as Terror, Agnostic Front, D.R.I., Trapped Under Ice, Backtrack, Alpha & Omega, and Rotting Out, the band are set to unleash their latest magnum opus, United States of Mind, on the mighty Reaper Records. Though Take Offense are at a point in their lifespan when many bands shrug their shoulders and crank out half hearted riffs and reheated lyrics, United States of Mind proves the group has the stamina and creativity to push their sound forward without losing touch with their roots. In short, Take Offense are one of the most engaging hardcore bands to emerge in recent years, and lucky for all of us, they don’t appear to be going anywhere. FURIES

visit FURIES on facebook visit FURIES’s website Furies is a power trio from Madrid playing an explosive cocktail of 60’s and 70’s-style music with simple Ramones-inflected bass and drums, powerful Status Quo rhythm guitar and colourful lead guitar which provide the foundation for a distinctive feminine vocal drawing its inspiration from black music. Furies history starts in 2014 when Davide and Maria get together in Madrid and decide to form a rock band inspired by 70s Glam Rock groups like Slade and Suzi Quatro and Aussie Rock groups like Coloured Balls and Marcus Hook Roll Band. In 2015, with their first drummer Victor, they recorded their first 7 inch single “Weer gonna have some fun” at Rome’s Green Mountain Audio studio, it was released on the Italian label Teenadelic Records. Following the recording, drummer Christopher Bongers, from the Paul Collins Beat Band, joined the band, bringing with him a style close to their own. They arrived with a bang on the Spanish Rock and Roll scene opening gigs for Guida and Red Alert in Barcelona and The Rezillos in Madrid and followed these up playing in Italy for the release of their 7 inch “Weer gonna have some fun”. In 2017 they went back to Rome to finish their eponymous debut album: „Furies“ which will be released jointly by Teenadelic Records in Italy and Contra Records in Germany. ENDSEEKER

visit ENDSEEKER on facebook visit ENDSEEKER’s website ENDSEEKER – since 2015 this name stands for finest Swedish style Death Metal from Hamburg, Germany. Hard as a fist and uncompromising like binge drinking on St. Pauli – but with a big chunk of heart and soul to it. 2015’s EP „Corrosive Revelation“, released on F.D.A. Records set the benchmark for the things to come. Produced by Eike Freese (Dark Age) and Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn) there was hardly any review not praising the band’s first sign of life. From there on ENDSEEKER served their sound to numerous metal fans all over Germany. Their gnarly HM-2 sound sawed through some ears at Summer Breeze Open Air, In Flammen Open Air, Angerfest, Grind The Nazi Scum, Holsteiner Death Fest, Weltturbojugendtage, Ear Terror Festival, and many more. They shared stage with bands like Kvelertak, Mantar, Lifeless, Demonbreed, Negator, Weak Aside (and many more) and are already confirmed for Party.San Metal Open Air 2018 as well as some other festivals and club shows. ENDSEEKER has released their highly anticipated full length debut album on October 20th in 2017 named „Flesh Hammer Prophecy“ and once again recorded and produced by Eike Freese at the famous Chameleon Studios in the heart of Hamburg. For those who are already familiar with ENDSEEKER can’t be any doubt there’s another sonic drive-by-shooting released. The press is on fire: „On ‚Flesh Hammer Prophecy‘ ENDSEEKER play death metal like it’s supposed to be – brutally honest and honestly brutal!“ (Metal.de) „The new record is great joy to listen to but also kicks you in the face.“ (Legacy) „… it’s suitable to call it a death metal highlight of the year.“(xxlrock.de) And by the way, the band got some assistance from a real death metal icon: Marc Grewe (Insidious Disease, ex-Morgoth) laid down guest vocals on the song „Black Star Rising“ and also took a part in the music video. On „Flesh Hammer Prophecy“ ENDSEEKER once again bend the knee to the Swedish heroes from the early 90’s but still keep a distinctive level of originality. Who the hell can stop them now? INFA RIOT

INFA RIOT

visit INFA RIOT on facebook Infa Riot were formed in 1980 (not 1979 as published incorrectly in other biographies/CD booklets) by Barry D’Amery and Lee Wilson, after becoming friends with the Angelic Upstarts at the Lordship pub in Wood Green north London. Lee’s brother, Floyd Wilson was recruited to play Bass. Barry and Floyd were only 15yrs old at the time and Lee was 17. Over the three or so years they were together they had a total of six drummers, one of them being the brilliant Alex Cardarelli who went on to join the Upstarts and Bad Manners and is in the new line up along with Lee and Barry. Their first gig was at the Lordship supporting the Upstarts. They then went on to support them on a UK tour. Two tracks were recorded for the “Strength Thru Oi!” compilation album in 1981 which reached No.51 in the national album chart. Soon to follow was their first single “Kids of the 80’s” produced by Max Splodge which reached No.8 in the UK indie charts. In 1982 the second single entitled “The Winner” was released which reached No.9 in the UK indie chart. Also that year The track “Power” was recorded for the “Wargasm” compilation album and the debut album Still Out Of Order was released and spent a month in the national chart reaching No.42 receiving a top notch review in melody maker. This was followed by tours with the Exploited and also a one off trip to Greece to play in Athens. In 1983, after pressure from the record company following trouble at gigs and negative press, they were “advised” to tone down the image and change their name to the Infa’s. (Mensi’s nickname for them at the time). This seemed to spell the end for them as they felt they were no longer in control of the music which the fans loved and wanted to here so they reluctantly called it a day. A couple of years later a comeback gig was organised. Unfortunately the drummer at the time thought it would be a great idea to get totally pissed to the point where he could barely stand before going on stage and let the rest of the band down badly. And that was the end of Infa Riot……….UNTIL NOW…. See INFA RIOT live here: DATECITYVENUECOUNTRYSUPPORTSTICKETS 17.08.2018VyskovPod Parou FestivalCZE...

NEW BAND THIS MEANS WAR

We are delighted to welcome THIS MEANS WAR to the MAD family. While everybody was celebrating the birth of punk 40 years ago, five guys from the low lands (Belgium and Holland) hooked up to form a brand new band known as This Means War! They have one thing in common: the love for punk rock. Far from rookies, they played in numerous bands before such as Discipline, Hidden Guns, Superhero Status and Convict. For several months in 2016, they locked themselves up in their rehearsal room and made plans to conquer the world with hard hitting punk rock anthems. This Means War! is not interested in reinventing punk rock music. They aim to blend their heroes (Cock Sparrer, Anti Flag, Old Firm Casuals, Social Distortion, Noi!se, Street Dogs, Clash) and give the mixture their own unique flavor. This Means War! combines Rock ’n Roll melodies with punk riffs and lyrics. That’s not always easy, but these punks rise above the challenges of it all, proving their experience will propel them forward. They are hungry like a bunch of wild coyotes and ready to hit the stage! From now on This Means War! is in your blood, 24/7. THIS MEANS WAR is Bert Van Dyck (Vocals), Robbie Jennekens (Guitar), Hugo Geerlings (Guitar), Carlo Geerlings (Bass), Dries Van Dyck (Drums).  ...

We are very happy to welcome Wolvhammer to the MAD family. With the current rapid rise in quality USBM, Wolvhammer races to the forefront with their upcoming fourth album which sees them merging the black metal tendencies of Enslaved with the mid-tempo sludge of Celtic Frost. Eschewing any frills, the band goes straight for the throat. No experimental bullshit, just the sound of rotten flesh and slow decay. Featuring Jeff Wilson (Abigail Williams) and Adam Clemans (Skeletonwitch), Wolvhammer has finally stepped into their...
